The Klaipeda University was founded in 1991 and has 3 faculties. 118 three-cycle study programs provide the student with research-based modern knowledge and technology based on higher university education level and higher education qualification, developing a fully educated, responsible, creative, and entrepreneurial personality.
Description
The beginnings of the University of Liepāja can be traced back to 1945 when a four-year pedagogical school began its work, which in 1954 transformed into a Teachers' Institute. The original name is Liepāja Pedagogical Institute. Since 1998 – Liepāja Academy of Pedagogy. On July 2, 2008, the President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers promulgated the law "On the Constitution of the University of Liepāja" and from July 16, there was one more university in Latvia.
The University of Liepāja is the largest in Kurzeme, where you can study in 27 study programs and learn social sciences and business, humanitarian sciences and arts, natural sciences, mathematics and information technologies, teacher education and educational sciences, and social welfare.

For contemporary enterprises, modern production or processing as well as their control technologies are of primary importance. Therefore, they need highly qualified specialists knowledgeable about the contemporary production and processing technologies, the equipment, and the principles of its control, who can independently conduct research topical for the process of production, summarize the findings, and implement them.
