Özyeğin University (ÖzÜ) Civil Engineering Department was founded in the academic year 2012 - 2013 and gave its first graduates in 2016. As of 2019, there are 11 faculty members conducting research and teaching in the fields of structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, earthquake engineering, construction management, and construction materials. The Department of Civil Engineering at ÖzÜ aims to educate civil engineers who follow, apply, and develop new technological advancements, in terms of both design and implementation and are capable of working in different geographies. The Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Program offered by the Ozyegin University Faculty of Architecture and Design aspires to prepare its graduates as interior architects who place a high emphasis on environmental, social, and economical sustainability, applying the sustainability concepts not only in spatial design, products, and materials but in all of their design and production processes.
